Antonis Iordanoglou

Antonis has been a travel writer, cartographer and journalist for many years. A graduate from the Department of Mathematics, University of Crete, he holds a degree in graphic design from the Vakalo School of Art and Design, and was trained in GPS navigation in the US Navy.
For many years, he collaborated with various sea magazines and he is special contributor to the DEEP diving magazine, as well as writer for the “Ribs & Fishing” inset of the Ethnos newspaper.
He is the author of the following Greek books:


Until early 2011, he collaborated with Y. Drenoyiannis as Assistant Editor at the “Explore Greece” travel guide of Ethnos newspaper. He was also contributor to the travel inset of the Ethnos tis Kyriakis Sunday paper. From 2005 to 2009, he was in charge of Greek subjects at “Passport”, the travel periodical of Kathimerini newspaper. From 1997 to 2005, he was head cartographer at Road Editions, producing numerous Greek maps (on scales varying from 1:250,000 to 1:25,000).

He has created maps for various local authority bodies and National Geographic Magazine and has worked as travel writer for the “Discover Greece” travel guide of ΤΑ ΝΕΑ newspaper, “Diakopes” (Vacation) and “Tahydromos” periodical supplements, “Geotropio” magazine of the Eleftherotypia newspaper, the travel guides of the Imerisia newspaper, and “Georama” magazine.

On television, he was special consultant for the “Gyrismata” travel programme of SKAI Channel.
